Collection: Lehariya Sarees for Daily and Office Wear
Lehariya comes from Rajasthan, and the name is just the Hindi word for waves, which is exactly what the pattern looks like — diagonal stripes of colour created by tying the fabric in tight rolls before dyeing it. It's traditionally done on cotton or a light silk-cotton mix, which is probably why it ended up as more of a daily-wear fabric than a festive one, even though the colours can get fairly bright.
Lehariya Sarees for Daily and Office Wear work mainly because the fabric doesn't ask much of you. It's light, it doesn't crease as badly as plain cotton over a workday, and the diagonal pattern hides small creases better than a solid colour would anyway. You get some colour and pattern without it reading as overdressed for a Tuesday at the desk.
Most of our Lehariya pieces come in two or three colours per saree rather than one, which is part of what keeps them from looking flat under office lighting.

For more office-wear options, the Ajrakh cotton sarees are worth adding to the rotation — different print technique, similar everyday comfort. The Maheshwar cotton/silk sarees are also worth a look if you want something with a bit more structure for the office.
Common Questions
Is Lehariya a formal or casual saree?
Casual, mostly. It's a lighter cotton weave built for daily wear rather than functions or weddings, though the colours can be dressed up a little with the right blouse.
Does the Lehariya pattern fade with regular washing?
It can fade slightly over time like most tie-dyed fabric, so a cold wash with mild detergent helps it hold its colour longer.
Can Lehariya sarees be worn to the office?
Yes — that's really what they're suited for. The fabric is light, low-maintenance, and the pattern is subtle enough not to look out of place in a work setting.
